Kelly McCluskey August 17th, 2006 11:52 AM

I sent you an email David. I'm interested.

Nick Weeks August 17th, 2006 01:17 PM

You may be able to find a VX2000 for around $1500 or less, depending on its use. I've seen quite a few on sale ebay pretty cheap, just watch out for scams...

I sent you another email

On another note, I found a JVC High Definition 1CCD, refurbished on B&H for $1,300. You have to hurry though, B&H used goes really fast

Patrick Moreau August 17th, 2006 02:39 PM

Is there any reason why this would be better than an iRiver at a quarter of the price?

Scott Shama August 17th, 2006 02:52 PM

The iriver has no automatic gain control (importnant for transients), no built in speaker. This is much better than an iriver for run and gun idea recording or for instances when the volume is going to vary greatly. Comes with an external mic with a clip that also has remote controls.

Cheers,
Scott

Century Optics .7X HD W/A converter for Sony HDV

Zoom thru W/A for Sony Z1 and FX1 HDV Camcorders. Made by Century Optics, the best highest quality adapters available, this is the wide angle converter made specifically for the Sony HDV camera, model OVS-O7CV-HDS.
It is zoom through.

This lens is new. It's been attached to a camera once but has never been used on a job. I bought this and a Z1 camera for a project that never happened. The camera has been sold. This lens is made specifically to fit the Sony FX1 and Z1 HDV cameras.

To buy this glass from a dealer is $795. This is new in the box. You can have it for $600! Save almost $200!! Your aspect ratio could be...that much wider! Add 30% more coverage to your camera. The best wide angle zoom through available at a price that cannot be beat! I accept Paypal (add 3%) or personal check. Free shipping (USA only). See it here:

Only thing I'm concerned with selling now is the lens hood. It is in pretty good condition for a lens hood that scratches with something as simple as a fingernail. Maybe your old one is too scratched up and looking pretty ugly? Maybe you lost it, cut it up, who knows? I'm only charing $25 INCLUDING shipping. I'm pretty sure Sony sells them for something like $60 new.

Anton Bauer kit for sale

Hello. I received the free Anton Bauer battery package in the mail recently and have no need for it. I bought a different battery system with my camera and the chargers are incompatible with the different batteries. Nothing in the kit has ever been used or opened.

Includes:
- Dionic 90 Battery
- Titan 80 Charger/AC Adapter
- Anton Bauer QR-JVC7 Gold Mount adapter

B&H has all this for $1100. I'll sell mine for $925 shipping included.
Any other offers, just email me. Thanks.

I have sent you an e-mail.

Dave Pecunies August 18th, 2006 11:47 AM

Pictures sent.

Benjamin Hill August 18th, 2006 11:55 AM

Deniz,

Everything arrived in great condition. Question: is there a trick to making the Matteblox DV fit on my DVX100? It seems like there isn't anything for it to grab onto; I put the step-up ring on it, but it still just pops right off- am I doing something wrong?

Deniz Turkmen August 18th, 2006 01:27 PM

Sent you an email Ben

Jack Walker August 18th, 2006 03:29 PM

Which system did you get instead?

Daniel Khoo August 18th, 2006 07:30 PM

Hi,

Back from my trip (a few weeks now) but have been a bit busy. Back on track to get rid of some of this stuff. Still available:

1) the Andromeda setup
2) The crane - I've decided to only do a local pickup on this one (don't want to ship it out). I'll throw in the tripod I used with it (the Vanguard VT-558, worth about $70), though you'll still need to get a head like the Manfrotto (below). I could also do Seattle, since I'll probably be in the area sometime soon. Will also include the weights I used to balance it.
3) the Bogen/Manfrotto 501 fluid head
4) Glideshot Dolly
5) 10 x 10 greenscreen
6) the 24mm Nikon lens

Same price as the original listing. pm or email me if you're interested. Thanks!

David M. Payne August 18th, 2006 09:39 PM

Well I tried to post the pictures here but I guess they didn't post and I'm not a geek so I don't know how to fix the problem. Here are links to them on the DVX forum where it was easy to post pics.

Alright I have sold everything I wanted to. Let this topic sink now.

Dave Pecunies August 19th, 2006 12:54 PM

Additional Information

I received a questions asking about the various functions of the camera and since I do not use the camera much I went through and checked all relevant functions. Everything worked except, strangely enough the useless XLR adapter. I slid it on another camera and I still did not get audio so my guess is that there is a problem with the adapter itself and not the hot shoe. I did test the 1/8 inch mic input on the PD100a and it worked fine. As I said in my post, the adapter is junk anyway and if you need XLR just buy a Beach-Tek or similar. The onboard stereo mic worked fine. I also hooked the camera up to Final Cut and was able to get a picture from my systme up on the camera. So the firewire port works and other then the XLR adapter everything checked out fine. If you have any questions let me know.

16 or 24 Bit Rate?

I was thinking of an alternative external recording device to use with a just purchased Canon HV10. The HV10 has no quality internal sound mic, I'm looking for something mobile and belt attached. I have used my EV-N/D 757B Dynamic Super Cardioid low imp handheld with a Sony 8 bit, not enough bit rate. I want at least a 16 or perhaps a 24 bit digital recorder. Let me know...

Christo Aaron August 19th, 2006 11:34 PM

Fluid Head?

Hey Mike,
I just bought a Canon HV10 and will be doing some street DV work. I wanted to know if your steady stick has a fluid head to reduce the movement jitters, as my non fluid head tripod provides well enough.
Cheers,
Christo

Christo Aaron August 19th, 2006 11:40 PM

Do you mind...?

Posting some video with your DV Camera attached to the Merlin? Price may be close, like to see it preform the dance...
Cheers,
Christo

3.5 x 13 lens and camera for sale

I'm thinking of buying the Infinity camera and it will run me almost $40,000 with lens and accessories. To buy it I need to sell my 3.5x13 lens. I'll sell it for $8,200 US and it is in perfect condition, very little use and obviously not very old!

I'll sell the camera (100UA), very low hours, for $4,800 US including a A/B adapter, charger/power supply and one Dionic 90 battery.

I'll sell both together for $12,850 uS.

I'd prefer to sell in the So Cal area so that a buyer can inspect and test both items, but I'm open to ship.

A little bit high IMO.
XL-1S's are going for around $1500-1900 on eBay, complete with everything original, which means you're wanting $1,000 or more for the ProAm jib.

Best of luck to you in getting your price, but you might consider dropping the price just a smidge.

Dan Keaton August 21st, 2006 02:56 PM

The Steady Stick arrived, exactly as described, well packaged, and in good condition.

Mike Mckeough August 21st, 2006 08:01 PM

Yeh I know XL1s's are a bit lower on Ebay, I had purchased mine 6 monthes ago for 3300.00 Camera only from a dealer. I paid the extra to have it serviced before I bought it. I still see some on ebay for aroud 2500.00
see Here http://stores.ebay.com/CANON-XL_W0QQ...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

I am open to offers on my camera.
Note there is alot of scams on ebay here is an example

http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-XL1s-Mini-...QQcmdZViewItem This guy hijacks members id and does a 24 hour auction.
