What consumer brand camera for capture/ 24p 2332?

Can't afford to buy a deck at this juncture. Don't want to tax the heads of my camera.

What inexpensive consumer brand camera do you recommend that I can purchase to review video shot on my Canon XL2? I'll be shooting a lot of 16:9 24p 2332? Thanks.

Chuck

Bill Schoaf June 19th, 2006 01:52 PM

$1300 or best offer...brand new, still in box.

You can click on my username to shoot me over an email if you have any questions. Thanks.

Chris Barcellos June 19th, 2006 02:36 PM

The normal response to this question without the "24p 2332" is any camera. What you are tranferring via firewire with a normal MiniDV recording are the 0's and 1's making up the digital file. You would think that would not change, as long as the what is being tranferred is DV. I am curious about what others have experienced too.

WTB: 35 mm adapter

I'm looking for a 35mm adapter that someone has around and is not using. With all the different models out there, it doesn't matter too much which one you have, as long as you have gotten good results w/ it.

Let me know.

No, this is a custom kit I put together.

Dennis Hingsberg June 20th, 2006 09:57 AM

I posted my for sale ad in the P+S technik forum, have a look there.. I swear I looked high and low for this classifies section but could not find them - I will post my ad here as well.

Please email me if you are still interested in a mini35 adapter. I'm located in Toronto and occassionally Rochester.

Dennis Hingsberg June 20th, 2006 09:59 AM

mini35 + NTSC XL2 for sale - Toronto/Rochester location!

Looking to upgrade so time has come to sell! Low hours use mini35 series 300 with all trimmings and Canon XL2 NTSC with 0 hours use on stock lens and most Canon accessories still in box.

I'm located in Toronto area and can demo equipment if necessary. Lenses not for sale at this time but may consider selling. Nikon f1.2 - f1.4 24mm, 35mm, 55mm 85mm lenses.

Serious inquiries or offers please! email star @hy-way. com for other questions, info or pictures! Thank you!

As far as price please make a reasonable offer if you are serious about buying this equipment. I paid close to $18,000 Canadian funds total back in the day. Please don't email me telling me I got ripped off and understand that the price reflects the dollar value/exchange rates at that time and in addition all appropriate taxes, import and duty fees. (Remember I'm in Canada!) Anyway price can be extremely subjective especially when dealing with goods manufactured in another country, imported to USA then resold to another country ie. Canada. so I just wanted to point that out in advance.

Now that we're all clear... I will consider any reasonable offer made, let me know if you have any questions.

Matthew Nayman June 20th, 2006 01:03 PM

Dennis, we have spoken before, and I said, I would be interested in your Nikon lenses, and possibly your XL Relay lens if someone buys your rig for a DVX or other non-XL cam.

Thanks.

How much for the Canon 50mm f/1.4 and Canon 70~200 f/4 together?

Dave Frank June 20th, 2006 08:09 PM

Albert, as I replied before: "I will not be selling the lenses before the adapter is sold, in fairness to the buyer of the min35. I will make a nice package for the buyer if they want everything. Thanks"

-David Frank

Bill Schoaf June 20th, 2006 08:38 PM

FOR SALE: Bogen/Manfrotto 3216 Monopod w/ 3232 Swivel Head

A couple of months ago I purchased a 3216 (679B) Bogen/Manfrotto monopod with 3232 swivel head from B&H along with some other equipment for wedding videos. The monopod has 3 sections, extends to 61", and supports 5.5lb, but it also handles my 13lb XL1s with accessories. I'm 6'2" and it'a plenty high enough. I've used it once and found I prefer doing everything handheld or on a tripod, so it's useless to me now.

The monopod is in perfect shape and is not bent nor has any scratches or blemishes, as I said, I've only used it once. I cannot find the wrist strap for it, but the reason I took it off to begin with was because it simply got in the way.

I'm selling the monopod with swivel head for $50 shipped (please add 3% if paying with PayPal). I have pictures if anyone is interested.

Please send me an email if interested.

What about the Optura 50? I have one I'm looking to get rid of. Has the same chip as the Optura 500, just a different form factor.
