Is a grid very important to have? If it is, I'll take the Photoflex Silverdome Soft Box 24 x 32 & Photoflex 40 degree grid - $175 instead.

This seems to be a pretty good kit for documentaries, interviews etc. Since I am rather new to this, I would welcome any tips or advice regarding this kit - did I forget something important, would I be better off replacing any components with something else (or anything else I need to know)....?

I'm launching a local TV station, and to help fund the launch of the station (which will be available on standard-def cable only) I'm selling off a good amount of my HD equipment.

First up -- I have a like new, barely used DeckLink HD Pro (Single Link PCI-X model.) This card was purchased in February and used for maybe one or two projects simply to display HDV on my Sony HD preview monitor. It cost me $979 new about four months ago; I'm asking $700 shipped but I'm open to offers.

Secondly -- I have a Sony PHM-14M8U HD CRT. This monitor was also purchased in February; and used on just a couple projects as a preview monitor in my edit suite. The monitor takes component HD input; when used with the above mentioned DeckLink card it works great as a preview monitor when editing HDV (or any form of HD) in FCP. I've also connected it directly to my FX1 using the component cable; it makes a great preview monitor on a shoot. I'm asking $700 shipped on this one as well. Once again, I'm open to offers.

Finally -- and this last one is more of a feeler -- I'm considering selling my HDR-FX1. I don't know whether I'll actually sell this one or not; but feel free to put in an offer. If I do sell the FX1, I'm hoping to get $2500.

Hey all, I am looking, hopefully locally (Toronto, surrounding region), to buy a used MiniDV or DVC Pro deck. I am sick of using my little Canon ZR90 and would like to by a panasonic dv2000 or similar DV deck, perferrably with a shuttle. Would consider paying a good amount, plus trading ZR90, battery, and perhaps some other equipment.

Hi Bryan. If you're no longer using that software and intend to transfer the license to the buyer then this is certainly a great deal. But otherwise any software which you still plan to use on another machine should be removed from the Mini before the sale, as your license requires. Sorry to be picky, but DVinfo can't get involved with the sale of unlicensed software.

Ah - well it doesn't come with Audio or Video monitors. Just the list of items. It DOES have as you notice, a never been used Apple mighty mouse and keyboard which no mac mini comes with. You WILL need speakers and a video monitor though just like normal mac mini purchases. The final pic was just for illustrative purposes of what this thing can do or be setup with :) .

Boyd - if I purchased the upgrade for my previous 5.0 version which was on the mac mini to 5.1 for the dual core g5, does that make leaving 5.0 on the mini legit? Thanks for alerting me to the problem -
