Hi Bryan,

it's best to post this in our Private Classifieds boards, that's where all the people here sell and buy their material. You can ask one of the moderators to move your post.

Best regards,

Boyd Ostroff April 13th, 2006 05:17 AM

Mathieu is correct. All "for sale" posts belong in our private classifieds forum. I've moved your thread there.

Canon GL-2 in excellent condition with packaging & accessories

Here is a summary of all items that I have and current cost to purchase them new today. Then at the bottom I have provided a price that I would like to get for all of it. If you want to break out the items and just purchase part of it, let me know which items you are interested in and I will let you know how much I would like for those pieces.

All items have been meticulously cared for and only adult operated. So condition for all items is in excellent or like new condition. I ran about 6 tapes through the camera and then have been unable to make the time to use it.

Item Description
Current price if purchased new
Link to details

Canon GL2

http://www.taperesources.com/prodinf...=DV60-P&dept=6

Libec M-20 Tripod
$195.00
Includes Tripod carrying case. It’s a ball-mount, fluid head type tripod so the action is very smooth and the ball mount allows you to easily level the camera regardless of how level the ground is.

Libec M-20 Tripod Dolly
$100.00

$19.00
http://www.high-techproductions.com/panHeadClean.asp

Tiffen NDO.3 58mm Filter
$25.00
Neutral density filter to reduce the amount of light coming through the filter but not change the color

http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct...&itemnum=58ND3

Tiffen UV 58mm Filter
$15.00
Protects the lens of the camera from getting moisture, dust, or scratches on it. I usually leave this on all the time.

http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct...&itemnum=58UVP

Tiffen FLD 58mm Filter
$40.00
Fluorescent light filter to remove the color distortion caused when using the camera in fluorescent lighting (like at the school…)

http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct...&itemnum=58FLD

Total cost for all parts if purchased new today:
$2896.90
This doesn’t include any cost for shipping & handling, or tax. I have original boxes for most items and would include those with the sale.

When I factor in depreciation and use, I figure that the value has reasonably dropped by 30%, which brings the total to $2027.83 (before mail in rebate). If you figure that Tax and/or Shipping (depending on where you buy from you would only pay for one or the other) would add 8-10% onto the total, it’s really a savings of closer to 40%. I would like to get $1900 for the package. The bottom line is that for roughly the cost of the camera you get all the accessories you would need included at no additional charge.

I can’t emphasize enough how much nicer it is using the camera with the tripod dolly and the Zoom controller mounted to the tripod. I almost didn’t purchase either item and I am extremely glad I did, it makes running the camera much nicer.

I will only accept payment by Paypal or Cashier's check. If you are local to the seattle eastside area then we can make arrangements for pick-up, otherwise the buyer pays actual shipping charges via UPS insured.

If you would like more info, please email me at brandenp(at)microsoft.com

Thank you,
Branden (aka Ben) Powell

In case you are curious, while I haven't posted a lot... I joined DV info back in 2004 and used the information here to determine what to buy (GL-2 & Vegas) and where to buy it (Zotz Digital and B&H).

Thanks for considering.

WTB: DVX100 or 100a or XL2 body w/ 35mm

Okay so I originally wanted an HD10 but I have changed my mind after doing more research. I'm looking for a DVX100 or DVX100A, preferably with some accessories but a barebones would be just as good.

I would really like a 35mm adapter as well. That's where the XL2 body comes in. I would consider one if a 35mm adapter was included.

Please have an asking price.

I'm located in southwestern VA, I'm a newbie, and I'm not going to lowball you.

3) 2 x Canon OEM BP-945 Batts - $100 for both

AJ Silverman April 13th, 2006 04:07 PM

Id say around 250 hours...never used for playback or capture, I have decks for that. most of the time...they are used as sources only..no tape running through them..so the hours on the tape mechanism is only around 50 hours. I would run them through a switcher and record the program tape to the DSR-1500s. Only rarely am I required to record iso tapes, as the cameras were primarily used for I-Mag presentations. Also they are DVCAM format..I hadnt mentioned that, but it is apparent from the type of cameras they are. I found one on that auction site...asking 2500, but it now at around 5000. I would not expect the buy it now..even though they were purchased new for around 11000 not including the bags zoom controllers and follow focus.

Tommy Haupfear April 13th, 2006 07:13 PM

Just a heads-up that I'll be closing this classified on Sunday as I set this up as an eBay auction.

Dave Frank April 13th, 2006 07:22 PM

This is a DVX-100. Price drop to $2400. Will make a deal on the package.

Tim Polster April 13th, 2006 09:08 PM

You can check the exact hours in the menu under diagnostic.

Remember the numbers have a x10 after them so a 50 is really 500 hours.

As far as the price, these cameras went for $5000-$7000 (depending on which lens) when they were new, early in their product cycle.

With the hours as you say, under 300, I would expect $3000-$3700 for the camera and lens.

I just bought a DVC-200 with 40 hours for $2900 (cheap lens).

Accessories will bring the price up a bit, but it is hard to judge the value of used batteries ect...

Good luck!

BTW, this camera does not use the DVCAM format, it uses full size DV.

fs xl1s - wtb xl2

i know it would probably be impossible to find.. but im hoping to just find an xl2 body, no lens. I dont need the lens and i would rather spare myself the hassle of having to buy the whole package then find a buyer for the lens. Or maybe if theres someone out there that is looking for a lens we could split of the costs of a new package.. you pay your share for the lens and id pay for the body..

Also.. when i do find an xl2 my xl1s will be for sale. I bought it on this board from marco wagner a few months back and its been nothing but great to me.

but if someone does have a good deal on a whole xl2 package id take you up on it

FS: DeckLink HD Pro Single Link PCI-X

I've been shooting and editing HD much less than expected, and as a result I'm downgrading some of the HD features of my edit suite.

This DeckLink HD Pro card was very lightly used for less than two months in a Power Mac G5. During that time, it was used purely to feed an HD monitor via the component outputs.

This is the single link, 4:2:2 model using the PCI-X bus. Included is the card itself, the breakout cable, and the install CD.

I'm asking $900 shipped ($80 less than it cost me new, and that's not including shipping), but I'm open to offers.

PM me or email eric@freelancerproductions.com if you're interested.
