I'm really surprised that Chris moved this, instead of siting the rules about not posting ebay auctions. There is a sticky thread somewhere about this.

John Rivers March 27th, 2006 11:22 AM

Like I mentioned I'm new to this whole "selling equipment" thing since I'm not a merchant. I posted the items on eBay, but I understand that this is a very niche field, so I figured I'd open the offer to people who would actually find something like this useful.

Heheh, I think I've already learned a lesson from this: while eBay might work for mainstream consumer items, when the item your selling appeals to possibly under 5% of the population (filmmakers with a Canon XL2 or XL-H1 who don't have a rainslicker yet), it becomes a little less helpful.

Ah well, now I know. =)

I believe Chris just misread it, probably because of the title.

Chris Hurd March 27th, 2006 11:28 AM

Yup, I misread it.

I saw "for sale" in the thread title and moved it here without looking closer. As you know, "for sale" is not at all the same thing as "for auction." Items on Ebay are not for sale. They're for auction. There's a huge difference.

Sorry but no Ebay auctions are allowed on this site -- if you have something on Ebay, then you do not need DV Info Net in order to find a bidder. They'll get to you on their own. The niche for these items is not nearly as small as one might think.

Links removed -- thread closed. I guess I need to revamp our policy stuff and make it easier for new folks to get squared away here.

about this

Don't know what the status is on this... would you be interested in just selling the accessories if no-one is buying the cam? I am interested in buying an original canon charger... I'll buy your high capacity batteries too if they are young and fresh...

Not yet, I'm in discussions with a guy, but talk is cheap, so until there is a comitment the camera is for sale. The bump was just to keep it on the first page so people can see it. It is a good deal for a pristine camera and acc.

PD170 low hours, mint condition NTSC

I have a mint condition Sony PD170 that is no longer needed as we shoot with many cams. This is the NTSC model. No marks except for minor scratches where the tripod mounts. Used as a fourth cam for weddings, stored very well, never rented out, never used to import footage. I can post the hours if needed but that are very low, I doubt it has recorded for 100 hours. Will ship in the original box or can be picked up at our home/office. Comes with almost all original parts and I will include an extra long life battery so you can shoot all day without having to buy anything else. Located in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. Plenty of feedback on various sites if needed. Looking for $2600 CDN for the package, no taxes. That is about 2200US, affordable shipping available to Canada or the US.

Please email with questions or for a phone 905-468-7713.

The only modification I made to this, was a drilled a small sink hole into the Tripod Adapter Plate. This is so that when mounting it to my bogen QR plate, I could screw it in with the set pin in place, keeping the tripod adapter from spinning.

I'll sell it for $700, buyer pays for shipping and paypal fees if you choose that method of payment.

Steadicam Flyer with Extras

I have had my Steadicam flyer for a little over a year now, and I have only used it about 4 times. It is practically brand new and now I am leaving the country to travel for a year, so I am selling it.

It comes with a Shotwatcher for wireless video transmission and also brand new Anton Bauer batteries and dual Charger. I have only charged these batteries about 5 times now, so they are practically brand new as well.

Please email me if you have any questions or woudl like to see any pictures of the system.

I am asking $7000 for the system, that price is firm, I will not back down from that price, so please do not waste my time and yours by trying to counter me with a lower price.

Thank You

Sony 23" Luma LCD Production Monitor

This is the greatest LCD made right now. I have used it about 4 months and have bought 2 expansion cards ( SDI and HD-SDI cards ). So you are completely ready for HD editing. This really is the sweetest monitor I have ever had, I hate selling it, but I am traveling the world for a year and just can't justify keeping it until I get back.

If you have any questions please email me so I can answer any questions you might have, and send you pictures of the unit.

I am asking $4250, and that price is firm considering I spent about 7k when it was new with the monitor and the two cards.

Looking for XL2

Hi all. I'm looking for an XL2. That's about it. Any usage, depending on price...and any price depending on usage (and common sense!) Added peripherals would be considered a big bonus. Batteries, tripod, etc.

Maybe one of you guys bumping up to the world of HD? Let me know!

Thanks,

DJ

Aurora PipePro Studio

http://www.auroravideosys.com/produc...pipestudio.php

This is designed for FCP. It is a Standard Definition capture card and break out box that produces a stunning image. Better than the Decklink in my experience. It has been used a grand total of three times in the past 6 months, but each time it has performed well.

It has been a great card that never let me down. But now I need to upgrade, as every show I am doing seems to be HD. So I need to sell.

New it is $799. I will be willing to sell for $399+shipping. This gets you the card, the BOB and the install software.
