FS: Broken GL2
I've got a GL2 that had the power board (or whatever it's called) fried during a power surge. A Canon service rep looked at it and said it would be a $600 repair. This camera hasn't been used since I got my FX1, so I don't really want to pay to get it fixed.
So I figure I'd sell it in case anyone needs one for parts or wants to buy it and have it repaired. I don't really know what to ask for it, I'd be thrilled with $500. |
Training DVDs
Hi, George
If the following is passed up by Todd, I'd like to buy these: Camera command dvd Efficiency dvd the missing link creative video productions dvd. Let me know. Thanks. |
Hi George...
How much are you thinking of selling the dvds? Thanks for the reply. Joven |
|
Hello again George,
I'm really more interested in Mark's dvds...let me know the price you have in mind please. Thanks!! Joven |
Howabout $50 CDN or best offer?
|
Devin are you getting my emails? The lens is not working like you described. Please get a hold of me.
|
Thanks to everyone for the interest in the training materials, my apologies for the late reply.
Recently purchased a new cpu and not wanting to retire the old computer have tried to convert it to a router/firewall. Could not get it configured properly and had no net access last night. Back online today and will respond to all emails. THANKS George Bean |
I've had quite a few emails with interest in this. I just want to be clear, I am not a repair expert. I make no guarentees that this thing can be repaired for $600, this is only what I was told the estimate would be.
It does come with all the accessories (I think I might have lost the little eye cup piece, I always used the larger one) but I'm going to confirm that today. Actually, I've got 2 of the high capacity large batteries (I think they are 8 hour) instead of the little one that came with it. |

WANTED: fisheye or wide angle for XL2
I'm looking to rent or buy a wide angle lens or adapter compatible with a Canon XL2 (preferrably Century Optics.) I'm shooting a scene that resembles a security or surveillance camera. I already have a 14X manual, 3X wide angle, and 20X IS lens. Should I use a fisheye, or would that be too extreme?
Thanks for any info. Charles |

Was wondering what the outside diameter of the Tiffen 0.58x wide angle adapter? Also, if you're willing to sell it seperately I might be interested if it will fit my underwater housing. Thanks! |

CamKote XL2 for Sale (Blue, New)
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let the community know that I've got a brand new BLUE CamKote XL2 up for auction on eBay. As the XL2 watchdog review told, it's an excellently made rainslicker, and I'm selling it in brand new condition for a pretty good price. They're also somewhat difficult to find (when I ordered mine the maker told me that for an XL2 slicker it would take 1 month since they were overwhelmed with orders, but I finally got one earlier than expected). I'm not a merchant or anything, just a film guy who has sold his XL2 and associated accessories trying to save up for a new HD camera. If anybody is interested just check it out, and if there are any questions I'd be more than happy to answer anything. Here is the link to the auction: *Admin Bonk* I've also got a "Tiffen Video Essentials DV Kit" filter kit up for auction as well. I've got a mattebox now so don't have too much need for screw on filter types, but they're pretty good to protect the lens and give basic UV and Polarizing abilities. Here: *Admin Bonk* Thanks for anybody's interest. (I apologize in advance if this is not the correct forum location for such posts, if this is the case than I'll be glad to delete this post myself and move the thread elsewhere). Have a great day. |
Moved to Classifieds from XL2 forum.
|
Sorry for the wrong location, thanks for moving it though. =) Have a good one.
