Updated list with pics!

Ok, here are some updates for the items listed above:

#1) Audio Technica kit (first three items in list) - $1150 with case:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...DSC_0584-1.jpg

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0581.jpg

#2) Dynatran heavy duty lighting stand with casters and boom arm – $100. The model number is DBS-C.

If you've been looking for a boom system to securely hold a hairlight/softbox or other light above your talent, it doesn't get much better for the money. The center column is a 2 stage extension for a total of 10 ft. The boom arm is also 2 stage and extends to 10 ft. The arm has a sandbag on one end and the ability to 'slide' within the mounting pole which allows you to adjust for the best center of gravity. The angle of the boom arm is controlled by a solid crank assembly at the mount. The center column of the stand is spring cushioned to protect your light in case you forget to tighten the columns during setup. The rubber casters are lockable, and the wheelbase is 3 ft. If you don't need to use the boom arm, the stand doubles as a heavy duty light stand.

I can not ship this item due to it's size and weight, so local pickup is required. Here are some pics (the stand and arm are not fully extended in these pics - my room wasn't big enough):

Yes, kudos to Chris but he shouldn't have had to do this -- what happened to the seller? Is he being held accountable, whether due to carelessness or fraud? I'd love to know what finally happened and how.

JVC GY-DV5100U Complete Kit + Accessories

8 Attachment(s)
Friends,

Health problems have forced me to sell my JVC GY-DV5100U Camera kit with a ton of accessories. Everything you'd want and need to get started.

I bought the kit from fellow DV Info member David Uriarte in the summer of 2007 who is a great guy and took terrific care of the equipment before selling it to me. I have only used it three times since I bought it which is a real shame. My multimedia company has focused more on publication design and consulting work and less on video, which is why I used it so sparingly. Now with some personal issues propping up, I need to thin out my equipment and generate some cash. Don't just take my word for it. Feel free to seek David out and he will vouch for the condition of the equipment when he sold it to me. He'll also vouch for the way I handled his transaction.

This camera is terrific and is truly production quality every time I used it. These 5100s are built like tanks and can take anything you throw at it. Your video talents will not be held back by the power of this unit. These units are like GL2s of the prosumer world -- the market just can't get rid of them because they perform every time and come with all the inputs you'd need both front and back (a longtime DV5100 strength).

Asking $4,500 OBO + ship

In the kit:

JVC GY-DV5100U Body - Has only about 75 drum hours on it.

Quick release mounting plate -- for attaching to tripods, etc.

Fujinon S6.4x20BRM lens - This is a seriously upgraded lens not typical not many kits. The big kahuna. Brand new these were $2.5-3K alone. Come with lens cap and outdoor filter.

JVC VF- P400U 4" CRT Studio Viewfinder

JVC SA-K400 Studio Viewfinder mount - screws up front then viewfinder attaches.

Stock shotgun microphone (XLR mic port)

Anton Bauer Titan2 Charger - Charge two of them puppies at once. You can also hook the camera to it for dedicated power. I have the XLR adaptor cable included so you can do this.

Anton Bauer Hytron 120 Battery

Anton Bauer ProPac battery

NRG Varilux Pro Light - powers from camera, attaches to the shoe. Included is an Anton Bauer PowerTap 4-pin XLR to A/B cable. This pretty is cool. Instead of just going XLR, the adaptor lets the light work based on the recording of the camera. When you record on/off the light goes on/off so you arent walking around with a torch all night.

Extra Ushio lamp bulb for the NRG Varilux

Three new/unopened Panasonic DV Master full size tapes

One Panasonic full size cleaning tape

Porta Brace Quick Draw Camera Case -- This thing is like T-Rex armor. The whole camera fits inside the bag without detaching lens, mic, or viewfinder. You can even keep a battery on. You can fit 2 AB batteries in the big outside side pocket alone.

Porta Brace Quick-Draw Shoulder Case -- Another great insurance policy. Includes rain sleeve which has never been used.

Porta Brace Large Hip Pack -- I can easily fit handheld Sennheiser mics in it along with wireless transmitter. Budweiser in the cup holder entirely optional (but recommended).

Steadicam Merlin

4 Attachment(s)
Just as the subject implies, I need to sell my Merlin due to some health issues. Ive used it quite a bit with my Canon GL2 with good success. I have everything that came with it with the exception of the large "grocery bag" which was somewhat odd and irrelevant (basically I gave it to my sister because I didn't want it).

Comes with:

Steadicam Merlin itself
Weights
Attachment plate and screw
Extra attachment thingie that looks like a CPU heatsink
COA
Instructional/Manual DVD
Case

$600 OBO. I'll ship it for free.

You can reach me on this topic, or email/phone me:

Canon XL2 camera w/ 20X lens

4 Attachment(s)
I'm stepping into the hi-def waters -- much to the chagrin of my wife, who feels I haven't done anything with my XL2! Nevertheless, I'm reluctantly parting with my baby.

Near pristine XL2 purchased new from B&H. You can purchase camera w/ 20X lens, two batteries w/ charger, Porta Brace carrying case, lens case, rain jacket, XL2 DVD, all pertinent manual and accessories that came with the camera.

Wish I knew how many hours I have on my camera but it was well taken care of, never used as a transport and has very little usage on it.

It's yours for $1900.00. You can respond via or DVinfoNET or email me at: lifetimesoul@gmail.com

Serious inquiries only.

Trade 2-SxS 8GB for 1-SxS 16GB

I am willing to trade even two Sony SBP-8 8GB SxS Pro Cards for a Sony SBP-16 16GB SxS Pro Card. Great deal if you need 8GB cards so you can back up to DL-DVD.

We each pay shipping to the other. Only excellent condition cards. My cards are like new and have very little use. I only use my 16GB cards.

Tom Robertson February 23rd, 2010 08:52 AM

Yes, I use the same model of petrol bag for my other 302 connected to a 722t. Actually there is room in a little pocket compartment for an NP1 battery as well which is how both setups were laid out.

Ron, it is the desktop version with the desktop PCIe interface. One can purchase the laptop card that interfaces with the device separately, usually I think for $99 from most vendors.

Jim, I got my other bag out after I received your e-mail and it turns out it is a little larger. Haven't used them for awhile and I thought they were identical. The bag for sale is slightly smaller. I'll post a pic here so you can see the difference. I apologize for the misinformation.

But even this price seems extremely low..

Is everything in order with the Cinevate Brevis?
It seems awfully peculiar...Any pics?

Audio, Lighting, Editing, lots of stuff! Sony, Sennheiser, Adobe, Lowel, more!

Hi Everyone,

I'm closing down my videography business for personal reasons and selling my equipment.

AUDIO STUFF:

1) Sennheiser e845 handheld mic with 20-foot Monster brand XLR cable. PRICE $120. Excellent condition.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0580.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0579.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0578.jpg

2) Sony MDR-7506 Headphones. PRICE $80. Excellent, very clean, near new condition - used only on a handful of projects. Comes in original packaging with all original accessories, PLUS an extended warranty from Guitar Center good 'til 8/8/2010! All paperwork will be included.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0576.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...DSC_0575-1.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...DSC_0574-1.jpg

3) Radio Shack sound meter, model 33-4050. PRICE $30. This is a great analog meter - looks and works like new!

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0631.jpg

I have a fantastic Audio Technica ATW1821D kit listed in a seperate thread - please check it out!

LIGHTING STUFF:

4) Lowel Rifa 44 kit (NOT the 'EX). PRICE $260. This light is in excellent condition - it was one of my favorite lighting fixtures because it's just so easy to setup! I'm including a small JTL lighting stand as well. I DO NOT have the bulb for this fixture - the one I had died on me so I tossed it. You can pick up a spare GCA 250W/120V bulb from many vendors for roughly $10-$20.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0624.jpg

5) Lowel DV Creator 1 Light Kit. PRICE $550. This is a slightly older version of the DV Creator 1 kit from Lowel, but it includes the same items as the one that currently sells for around $850. Lowel Pro with barndoors and 250W bulb, Lowel Omni with barndoors and 500W bulb, Lowel Tota with 4 bulbs (500W and 300W), 3 Lowel UNI-TO stands, gel frame, flag, several gels with pouch, 3 umbrellas, and the hard carrying case. Most of the items are in very good to excellent condition. Blemishes: 2 of the umbrellas have flaws but still function normally. 2 of the stands have a cracked ring on the top 'stage' but they lock down just fine! The front lens of the pro light has a crack down the middle of the glass which doesn't affect the light output at all. DUE TO SIZE AND WEIGHT, I would prefer a local pickup on this kit. Here are the pics:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0619.jpg

6) Photoflex 5 in 1 42" multidisc reflector/diffuser with matching holder arm. PRICE $120. This is a must for anyone videographer's lighting kit. I used it to bounce hairlight back up onto the talent to help eliminate 'bags' and fill in wrinkles. It also works great outside as a diffuser or fill light for the sun. Very good condition.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0597.jpg

7) Lowel Omni dichroic filter. Price $40. This little gem converts your Omni light from Tungsten 3200K temp to Daylight balanced 5600K temp. Great for using your omni to brighten up an outdoor shoot. Good condition.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0639.jpg

8) Britek backdrop support system with 9 x 9 black muslin. PRICE $80. This is a great basic backdrop kit - hang whatever fabric/paper/material you want from it. The stands extend to 9 feet, and the crossbar also extends to 9 feet. Includes carrying bag for the supports.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0630.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0629.jpg

EDITING/OTHER STUFF:

9) Adobe Production Studio Premium for Windows/PC - FULL version. PRICE $300. I own two full copies of the production studio software - keeping one for personal use and selling the other. This is the full, non-academic version of the software. NOT the upgrade version. The Adobe part number is 23160097. It includes Premiere Pro 2.0, After Effects 7, Audition 2.0, Encore 2.0, Photoshop CS2, and Illustrator CS2. I have deactivated and uninstalled this software from my computer and it is GUARANTEED to install and activate for you as if it were new. I will also file the registration transfer with Adobe so you'll be the 'official' owner. Now I know how you probably feel about previously installed software (I am the same way) - but I 100% guarantee this to be the real deal and you WILL be able to install and activate it. If you have ANY issues with it, I will refund your money no questions asked. Great thing about this software is that since it's a full version, you could use it to 'upgrade' to the CS4 bundle if you wanted to. That's what I ended up doing with my other copy. So you could really save yourself lots of $$ over buying the FULL CS4 set. All of the books are still in their shrinkwrap, and the discs are in excellent condition.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0634.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0632.jpg

10) Contour Shuttle-Xpress editing controller. PRICE $30. This works great with Premiere and can help you speed up the editing process with shortcuts to commonly used features. Here's more info on this device:
Contour | Shuttle-Xpress NLE Multimedia Controller | SXPRS | B&H

Pics:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0637.jpg

11) Kramer PT1FW firewire protector with two 6-pin firewire cables. PRICE $45. This little bad boy can save your bacon in terms of protecting the firewire port on your camera. I used it when I had a JVC HD100 - it was nice to know I was doing everything to protect the firewire ports from 'blowing' and costing mucho $$$ to repair. Here's more info on this device: Kramer | PT1FW Spark-Guard Pro DV Line Protector | PT-1FW | B&H

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0577.jpg

12) Vortex Media warmcard kit. PRICE $50. What to say about these cards - I never left home without them. Sure you can always color correct in post, but why not capture it like you want by getting your desired white balance before you shoot? I especially loved the Minus Green card for use in fluorescent lit rooms - amazing results. FYI, each of the cards has 100 IRE white on the back for true white reference. The mini cards are cool cuz you can wear them on the lanyard around your neck.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...e/DSC_0652.jpg

All items are available for local pickup or can be shipped for an additional fee (unless otherwise specified 'too large to ship'). I am very good at packaging electronic gear, and everything will be fully insured. I accept Paypal (you pay half the fees - 1.5%) and of course good ol' US currency!

Here's my basic refund policy: I want you to be happy doing business with me. I've described my items as accurately as I can, but if for some reason they don't meet your expectations I will allow a return within 3 days of you receiving the item(s). The refund would be processed once I receive the item(s) back, and would NOT include shipping or paypal fees. I've conducted MANY transactions on dvinfo.net, eBay (ID 'visualjourney'), and Craigslist - I am a proven trusted seller :)

If you're interested in any of my equipment please send me a message and we'll chat! Thanks!

Respectfully,
Dave Uriarte
