Free the Track Lights
Hi, I bought some track lights a whiile ago, and they work well in certain places, but after a bit I was wanting to move the 4 lights I bought to different places. I ended up modifying them so they each have their own cord. I made a video to explain how I did it, to help others, and to get better at video.
Check it out at http://www.2ndmousepro.com/Videos.html click show playlist, and select Free the Track lights. Your comments are welcome, keep in mind that I know my acting stinks. I didn't have a camera operator, so I set up a monitor so i can see if my shot is looking ok, but I kept looking at the monitor instead of the camera. Oh well, I'm not an actor, and it shows! |
Thanks for the tips, Justin. That was a very detailed video without seeming too long.
Have you figured out a way to mount these lights to a standard 5/8" light stand? I'll bet they would also make a nice backlight/kicker if they could be put on stands. |
Marcus, I made my own stand for this using 2x2 lumber. I want to get some real light stands soon, and when I do, I'll find a way to put these lights on them.
