Almost Kino Flos?
 

Howdy...

Just wondering if anyone has tried these:

2KIT x 300W 4ft 4BANK Fluorescent Light Ballast as Kinoflo Tubes with C Stand | eBay

I mean, they look COMPLETELY the same as the Kinos, but at about 70% of the price.... Maybe they're made in the same factory? I don't know...

Any thoughts?

Being made in Hong Kong, they are likely 'grey market' knock-offs.

Some folks find the low price of "grey market" knock-offs to be worth the problems that may or may not occur.

Other's have the experience of basically wasting their money because their 'Chinese choice' stopped working after only a few gigs only to then find getting them fixed nearly impossible.

Again, that low price point is tantalizing, but if it were me, I would keep sending out feelers to see who else has actually purchased them and to get their 'actual experience' review.

I can tell you this. If you buy real Kinos, you will get a pretty solid product that will do what it is supposed to do and also provide a good re-sale value if you ever need to sell them.
