GH4 + M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm

I am new to this type of camera. I have messed around with my Canon Elura from time to time. I could greatly enhance my value to my company if I had the means to record our events.

Mostly indoors events such as round table discussions. Is the lens I have mentioned good for indoors and starting out?
