The Apex 191 good for my MX300
 

It's just a cardioid but it works well with MX3. Cheap too, and not too big.

yeah i meant to ask you about that. You just use a female xlr to 1/8 adapter? How's the "range" on it? off axis rejection?

What shock mount do you use and would it mount on my mamba without blocking my lens?

The mic doesn't block anything. I use the Senn MZS6 shock mount (made in Germany). Yes, I use a female XLR to 1/8" adapter, one foot long. "Range on it? Off axis rejection?" It's a cardioid 1/2 way between a hypercardioid. The specs can be found on the Apex webside and in the brochure.
