Chris,
I'd second Tom' reply to your post and also note that you can test this behavior out on the camera by locking the shutter speed and gain. Then aim at a uniformly lit target and zoom. If the iris is set to "open," you will see the luminance meter (the percentage displayed at the center of the lcd display) change, if the iris is set to f/2.8 or higher, it will remain constant or only change very sightly. I just did this on my HMC40 and it performs as I described. |
