Newbie guide to cameras, Anyone know of one?
Hey, does anyone know of a guide that lists most of the prosumer/pro cameras? I want to learn more about these better cameras very much, and I would like to find out the pro's and con's of these cameras, but I really dont know where to start.
Any help, info or what-have-ya greatly Appreciated, Simon |
There are simply too many camera and they change almost weekly. You want to learn about all of them, just keep reading here! This is your best source for info on all of them.

Right here!
Simon, you can start right here on the DVi forum. Depending on your area of interest, visit the corresponding forum and you will find tons of good info. A few other sites brought up by a quick Google search may also help. And then, when you have a general idea of what you would like, come back and ask specific questions... "what's the best camera?" is such a general quesion, no one can even attempt to start an answer.

Haha, figured... So much research, so little time
I keep seeing these ad's on here for camera's I've never seen before and just wishing I had the money for them lol... My second kidney is starting to look pretty useless though :D (Anyone in need of a Kidney, Type O) haha Thanks though, I'll keep reading up! Simon |

Well it doesn't cover "most of" the cameras, but you can learn some basics about the Sony PD-170 and HVR-Z1 here: http://www.urbanfox.tv/workbooks/index.htm
The BBC has some guides here, but they're a little more dated: http://www.bbctraining.com/onlineCourses.asp |
I though this forum was the "newbie guide to video"?
