WIDESCREEN question
Hi everyone,
Just a quick question... I want to shoot a wide composed picture for events, weddings and creative projects. A friend sent me the link to this web site: http://www.bluecoremedia.com/widescreen.html If the a blue core rep is on this board...great work...it really inspires me. What I am trying to do is determine what they are doing to get the widescreen that they are talking about. I know that I can shoot in 16:9 format but that will squashed the image if it is not viewed on a widescreen TV?? So are they just talking about matteing the 4:3 compsition to get the widescreen affect? Thanks in advance, I know this topic is beat to death but I wanted to aks. Jay Reilly |
perhaps a lens mount like this helps get the 16:9 feel??
http://www.zgc.com/html/dv_filmmaker_kit.htm Can some tell me if this lens is worth th emoney or if matting in photoshop gives essentially the same thing? Jay |
A number of people use the anamorphic lens. This is a better solution than using electronic 16:9.
The matting I think you are talking about would be letterboxing. A number of NLEs have setting for doing 16:9 letterbox. |
