16mm film scanner
 

Guys,
anybody has any idea if it would be possible to scan 100ft 16mm movie film on a Scanner frame by frame?? Nikon has a scanner which accepts 16mm film....

I dont see why you wouldnt be able to...It would just take a long time

the nikon 16mm adaptor was meant just to capture single frames NOT to be used to capture sequences as there is no registration pin ... you might look at the JK optical printer with a digital still camera in stead of a film camera ..
the JK has registration pins to keep every frame aligned with each other .. you can put canon/nikon/fuji still camera to record images at whatever resolution your camera will do .. the JK will operate the still camera .. on some camera's it will transfer images automatic over USB to computer .. approx $5-7K without camera ... used 1500-2500 for older JK printer ..500 for control device .. $$ still camera ?

you might try using the nikon and and then use a program like combustion that can pin the 4 corners of the frame using stabilization = might just work ? you would need to see all 4 corners of the frame ...
