Online, royalty free. If you don't want to pay to license something, YouTube even has music you can insert into the background of videos, or search for songs in the public domain.

For at your own house...
it depends what kind of music he likes. Top 40? maybe "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors.

SmartSound Classical Suite #2, Audio Palette Volume 52 has Pomp and Circumstance as one of the selections on the disc.

You can probably still find it somewhere on their website. I got it back around 2009.

I would ask your son what are his favorite songs.
Look at his ipod/iphone and see what songs he plays most often.
