I have a Canon DW-100 burner that I use to back up my Canon HF10. It will burn Blu Ray compatible discs on standard DVDs but as you can guess, playback time is limited. Recently saw an brief mention of Sony's latest latest offering and B&H has it here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/751796-REG/Sony_VBD_MA1_DVDirect_MA1_Multi_Function_Blu_ray.html Just have to see if it is compatible with your camera. BTW, I have been archiving the footage from my Canon to Archival quality DVDs and then importing the footage later on to use in iMovie. Happy hunting! Reed |

Is this Sony DVDirect MA1 burner PAL compatible or it doesn't matter? anybody used it? it really sounds a good buy. stelios |
Re: Help Me Choose The Right DVD External Burner
I just found that the Sony DVDirect MA1 unfortunately is for NTSC region only. Does anybody know a similar product to work in PAL region?
