Which cameras have focus peaking?
I was reading about Gareth Edwards discussing about the Sony EX had focus peaking. Are there any other camera in the pro-sumer or even consumer level that have this feature for HD?

Re: Which cameras have focus peaking?
Panasonic TM900, SD900 etc. (Blue). Canon XF100/105 (Blue, Red or Yellow option) and also Canon XA10 (I think).
Pretty sure some of the top end consumer Sony's (CX700 etc.) have it too - just check the manufacturer's product info pages and you'll soon know for sure. It's an incredibly useful feature - I never use my EX3 without it - or indeed my new TM900 when shooting without AF on. |
Re: Which cameras have focus peaking?
Canon T2i with Magic Lantern firmware, it gives you the option of multicolor selections and also how strong you want your focus peaking to be, it makes rack focus so easy with that feature.

Re: Which cameras have focus peaking?
The Canon HV-20, 30 & 40 have a PEAKING option in the ASSIST functions as well. Not that we're being encouraged to mention such prehistoric technology here now :-)

Re: Which cameras have focus peaking?
The sony fx 1000 has peaking and what I like about it is that I could change the color to Red which makes it a lot easier than the highlighted edges of my canon xlh1.

Re: Which cameras have focus peaking?
The Sony NX5U and Sony HDR-AX2000 have peaking in yellow read and I think blue. Personally use it all the time.
