digital projector types- minidv techniques

Hey all,

Like several people on this board I'm filming a short for the festivals next year. Also like others on the board I don't have multiple thousands of dollars for a 35mm transfer. So...digital projection is for me. Most of the festivals seem to basically run one or more of these three projector formats:

HD CAM format
Non-Anamorphic
1080i/16:9 60i

I realize that at least 2 of these are HD formats and I could transfer a quicktime file to HDCam easily enough. What I'm hoping is that some video genius out there can maybe explain the best ways to shoot/capture/edit minidv when the final outcome is likely to be digital projection via one of these formats.

FYI, my editing system is Premiere and my camera is the GS400..should arrive soon :) I'm also looking at trying the century optics anamorphic for this camera.

That's interesting... they don't support anamorphic DV? Unless I misunderstand those specs your only options would be HD or letterboxed DV. If you're going to letterbox the DV then perhaps it's not worth the effort of shooting with the anamorphic lens?
