Viewing 60i on TV vs PC monitor

Can someone explain to me why my 60i footage looks crisp on a PC yet has alot of interlaced artifacts while on my TV both analog and HD it does'nt.

I was really kinda in the dumps after looking at my footage on my PC until I saw it on the TV and it turned out OK.

I am just wondering why are they different?

also are there any small monitors that I can buy to review my setup live during the shoot? That would render as seen by TV/DVD?

It's because of interlacing.

On a CRT TV, the fields are scanned one after another. It tends to look good.

On a LCD TV, a deinterlacing circuit tries to get rid of interlacing artifacts. (Most LCDs can't display interlacing correctly.)

2- You can get broadcast field monitors.
