Shooting a Basketall game (Flouresent lights)

Tonight I am shooting a Basketball game that has very good Florescent lighting. I am wondering what filters (if any) would be best. I am shooting the game with a Canon XL2 and will be using the 20X lens and I have the PL, UV FDL.

What do you think?

White balance properly.

So you don't think any filter would be a benifit?

Guy, that's the whole point of white balancing - to adjust for color temperature at your location. Most gyms aren't well lit anyway and putting a filter on the camera will only decrease the amount of light entering the lens and decrease your depth of field.

Usually, gymnasiums light with big orangy lights. those should white balance pretty well. If they are flourescents, you can add a light magenta (FL or minus green) filter AFTER white balancing to get rid of the greenish cast that flourescents throw.
