How to extract JVC camerasettings from AVI

I have used the program from http://www.dvmp.co.uk/ to view what aperture, gain, exposure and so on my old Sony PAL uses in different conditions. But when I'm using my other camera, a JVC GR-DF550 NTSC the program just shows a stroke in all fields.
Are there other programs of this type available that I can try?
Doesn't the JVC save that sort of data in it's stream?

I'm using Adobe Premiere to transfer video from camera to PC as an AVI-file, if that affects anything.

The JVC probably doesnt store any metadata.

That's probably right. DVMP adheres closely to the official DV specs and is quite rigorous in searching out the metadata. If it's not displayed then it's almost certainly not there.

There are no guarantees that any particular camera will store all of the info on tape. Some very inexpensive models just store the date and time - not even timecode!

You might be interested to know that a major new version of DVMP Pro just been released with player enhancements and lots of tools, including a powerful file splitter (splits by timecode, date&time, user bits or tape index), and DV metadata editor.
