Adobe Encore Help! Please
I have a presentation due in a few days. I need to create a DVD menu that has a video clip playing. When I do this in Encore and hit the play button on the remote controll it opens the video playing in the menu. I just want a video clip to play in this main menue, but I don't want to get it activated when I press play. I hope I'm explaining myself. Any help would be great.

It's not very clear, I think you want to:
a) have a video play on the menu background behind the buttons -or- b) have a video play inside a button Is it either of these? I can't imagine Encore not supporting either of those. I'm wondering why you are hitting "play" as well. |
You have to set the video you want to play either as 'First Action' which will play only once as the DVD starts, or you need to set the opening menu to play a video.
It is page 103 in the Encore 1.5 manual. |
What I basically need is motion background playing once you incert the DVD in the player. I'm sure you guys have seen a lots of these when you pop in a DVD. I designed the background in Photoshop, I then inported a clip into Encore (5 seconds) then I drag this clip into the main menu. I then click "Activate Motion menu" in the Main Menu properties. Then I render Motion Menues. I just don't want this clip to become a clickable menue that opens in big screen the 5 second clip. I have another menue titled "Play movie" . Maybe Rob is right, Encore doesn't let you create a motion background that is not a menu.
Rob, It's -A- A backround playing behind the buttons. |
Alain,
Encore is able to do this. I can't remember how do do it from the top of my head, but it should be explained in the help file or manual. Search for motion menus. |
