Eliminating Frames Automatically
Is there a way to eliminate, say 3 out of every 4 frames easily. In other words, to save frame 1, 5, 9, 13, etc. I want to create a comic effect and would be like jerky motion and also which would speed up the action. Other than cutting and joining by hand, is there NLE program able to set the variables and have it done automatically.

Posterize Time effect, fiddling with a precomposition's frame rate, or time stretch
After Effects has a few ways to do this. See the "Posterize Time effect" section of After Effects Help on the Web for details. Make sure to read the comments on that page for a description of an alternative method.
If you just apply Posterize Time, you'll preserve the speed and just get the jerky motion. To change the speed, use time stretching. See "Time-stretch a layer" for details. |
