Pov,onboard broadcast camera system...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, i work in France as a cameraman, i've got different specialisations, one of which is "onboard cameras", or "POV cameras". Here my demo: YouTube - Demo caméra embarquée, pov demo, mikko Paillot www.mi2ko.com Mi2ko , here my blog with some picture...http://mi2ko.overblog.com I use different materials for the camera unit and the recorder SD or HD. Sony, Chasecam, and my principal material comes from a small french company who transforms and makes special units called HORUS. http://www.horus-video.com/materiel-video-cameras.html The cameras are very strong, the electronics is very performing, and every thing is controlable, for me they make broadcast pov cameras. I would like to know what broadcast material you use there ? except "public" pov cameras. Have you, like chasecam, other companies who work for the development of special unit for pov broadcast camera systems ? Bye |
I know that there are but I have not used them so I cannot name any companies in the US.
Your demo video is hot. It's clear your kit does the job quite well. It's also quite dear, at least for my budget. As someone that shoots motor racing and have shot competitive sail racing these would be, how you might say, magnifique. I look forward to seeing more of your work. |
new high definition pov on board camera
Thank you Tripp.
Here is a new pov, on board HD camera 1920x1080, which is waterproof. http://mi2ko.fr/xshd.jpg It is recording on a memory card. Everything is inside the camera : the lens, the recorder. And in reduced size. The cable coming out of the camera is the remote for "on off" operations and settings. It is perfect for the use in any "extreme" place. There is no recorder needed anymore, everything is in the camera. |
What codec are you recording too?
|
It's recording on a memory card, the best in case of vibrations due to extreme situations, no more DROP on pictures.
I don't know yet witch codec is used but I am sure it will be high quality. |
Sony hast introduced an interesting unit HXR-MC1P.
Sony : HXR-MC1P (HXRMC1P) : Product Overview : United Kingdom Basicly a AVCHD camcorder split in two. The advantage so far is the price around 2200 USD, so it cheap compared to custom solutions. I'm looking into testing one since it fits my budget for POV. Primary using this for extreme sport events, but no footage from past work on the web yet. |
Nothing comparable, apart from the images.
The XSHD camera is fully waterproof and it has a wide angle lens. No cable, the camera is fully autonomous and very small. As soon as i get information i'll post it here. |
