David,
You said you output from your camera via S-Video. Does this mean your VCR has S-Video in? Also, where did you buy it at? Thanks! |
Scott, the last two S-VHS decks that I pruchased were the JVC SR-V10U. This model has S-Video inputs on both the front and rear and was purchased from B&H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bh3.sph/...ID=F32685FA750 I also have a couple of the JVC HR-S7800U decks mentioned in another post. This model is no longer in production, but may still be stocked by some resellers. It is basically the same as the SR-V10U but should be a bit cheaper if you can find one. Both models have worked well for me, recording directly from the Premiere timeline through the S-Video port on my Matrox RT2500.

Thanks Ed! I need a new VCR for VHS dubs of my videos and want S-Video to get the highest possible quality. I'll look through all my possibilities. Thanks!

Yes, Scott, the model I have has S-video in, like those Ed mentioned. I bought it at Future Shop in Toronto, now owned by Best Buy.
