Lost audio using Panasonic Pro Tapes?
Hello all,
Is it possible to lose audio with dirty tape heads? I have a portion of some footage I took (do wedding videos for a living) where the audio drops in and out for a period of about 10 minutes, then if fine after that. The shooter I had that day told me she did get the warning 'clean tape heads' but ignored it. I tell them to clean them with the proper cleaning tape when that happens but sometimes they let it go and tell me that the message appeared at which time I clean the tape heads myself back at the studio. Before I go calling Canon (I shoot with GL2's) and raise hell I want to know if this is a possibility... although I'm pretty sure what the answer is going to be. |
Yes, that is quite possible, especially if the camera itself already warned
about tape (head) issues. A cleaning tape would've definitely been a wise thing to run through at that point in time. |
