Anyone tried the new AY-DVM63SQ? Is it supposed to be better than the AMQ??

We have not tried it here yet, but our experience with AMQ has not been happy. It's looking like those 'finer grains' in AMQ can equal 'weaker signal' in some circumstances. Yuck..... It will be interesting to see how all this tape revision business works out.

I have been using the AMQ for a month. So far no surprises. If the SQ is about the same as the AMQ, I will give it a try.

SQ are a replacement for the PQ's

I've NEVER had an issue with any of the Pana high end tapes, except for two AMQ's which for over seven years now, is still pretty good odds.
