Broken Tape... help
Okay, my 2 1/2 year old son got a hold of a miniDV tape and figured how to open it and play with the tape inside. He tried to pull it out and the tape snapped (thankfully, instead of pulling out the whole thing). But I don't know anything about reparing this tape. I just want to do a short-term repair on it if possible, just to download the contents. Thankfully, its not a wedding tape, but it is of my daughter's first Christmas and more memories. Any help would be appreciated.
Anyone do this sort of work? I'm willing to pay to have it done, but I can't find anyone around me (in Pittsburgh, PA) that does this sort of thing. |
Try a dub house.
I've done it once myself, not the sort of thing I'd like to try and explain in words. |
Film and Video Transfers, located in Northridge California, is very adept at repairing this kind of problem. The also do all kinds of tape dubbing and film transfers to videotape.
