Can't read MOV files from HM-750
2 Attachment(s)
I did some shooting on my HM-750 the other day and decided, as a test, to record in MOV format.
The camera was set to 1440x1080i and set to QuickTime mode. After shooting, I dragged the files into my computer (Sony Vegas Pro 10 with latest version of QT player) and tried to play them but all that comes up is an audio file I tried playing them with QT player and get the messages as shown in the attached screenshots. I can bring them into Premiere Pro and it will read and play them but I really want Vegas to read them. Did I do something wrong in the original recording? Is there a fix for this? |
Re: Can't read MOV files from HM-750
.mov is a wrapper, for whatever codec made the orginal. You need your Vegas program to have (or recognize) the appropriate codec --- looks like XdCam is involved -- and it's possible one of the free downloads Sony provides may help, particularly since Vegas is a Sony product:
