I didn't realize that you can also record 19 or 25 mbps in m2t. The Producer/Director guy giving the demo presentation mentioned it along with .mov and .mp4.

JVC Professional Technical Description page It says: The camera can also store files in the ISO Base Media File Format (MPEG-2 Long GOP), compatible with all major non-linear editing systems. In this mode, the files and folders are recorded so that they can be easily accessed in the post production process. Formats (19, 25, 35Mbps) are listed on the same page in a chart. |

The presenter may have been thinking of the IEEE 1394 .m2t output from the GYHM700. The camcorder does not record .m2t onto the SDHC media.

Thanks Craig for the clarification. I had to listen to it 3 times because it seemed out of place. It is good that you can go out the firewire to HDV or downconvert to DV.

When do you expect the New JVC Cameras to arrive?
Craig, I am trying to be patient waiting for my GY-HM100 camera. Do you have a better estimate on the availability date?

Hello Mr. Yanagi!
Thank you for being a presence on dvinfo. I for one am very excited about the HM100. Thank you for your efforts you put in to it. It's size, codec, media and features are all exactly what I've been hoping for. |

Does anyone know how the new Canon Lens will compare to the 13x we can get at the moment.
It looks like we will be able to get the camera body here in Oz in April, but the camera lens package wont be around till june.........I need it before june, so may end up having to buy the 13x instead. |
