Stuck iris after software upgrade?
 

Just got my camera back from JVC for software upgrade. (Ver 1.11)

I just noticed that the iris cant be adjusted in manual mode. It's either full "open" or full "closed". What the heck? Has anybody noticed this too?

I guess it's going back to JVC again! I cant believe the luck I'm having with this camera. :-(

Sorry to hear that Cliff, for info, both of ours performed with no issues on a 4 day shoot this week. Hope you get sorted quickly.

I believe this is a mechanical failure not related to the software update. It literally "sticks". I can hear it "slam" open then "slam" closed. Called JVC and they said they have seen this before.

Looks like it's going back to California.

Update;

My GY-hm100 just came back from JVC yesterday. The entire optical block was replaced under warranty. Special thanks to "Joyce" at JVC California. She did a great job of letting me know what was going on the entire time. Great customer service!

All is well again.
