some compression blocks on 720/60p?
 

With HD250, would it be more demanding to record 720/60p than 30p?
If video shows some compression artifacts with 720/60p, do people prefer recording in 480/60p (if that leads to less compression artifacts) and uprez later?

Na. I have the HD100 and the 480p60 always has plenty of compression artifacts. I'd stick with 720p60 if I had a choice. ;-)

Is there any special preset I can use to lessen the compression artifacts?
Would it improve if I make the details or sharpness lower?

Some say anywhere from -7 to 0 on the sharpness is very helpful.

-7 seems a bit soft on my hd100 so i run it at 0.

What compression artifacting are you refering to? Are you talking about extreme motion like whiping the camera around? Or is it something that shows up in still shots?

I put the cam on a reasonable video tripod and tried least amount of unnecessary panning but just following a BMX racer from say 10 meters away (bushes and trees in the back ground) results plenty of compression.
In the same shot, 60p is undesireble, and 24p looks okay.

I'm already thinking to combine HD200 and Pana HVX200 to cover each others weak points. I think that will be pretty hot.
