"Munich" settings
 

Hey, has anyone done the color matching for Munich that can be used in HD100?

I love the footage in your link.

One humble suggestion. A lot of these short previews I've been watching on the "clips" thread seem to spend a lot of time showing the opening credits.

I would love to see an indie film preview without an opening credit roll. I want to see the movie, not the complete crew listings.

The idea is to sell your film, not to give props to every crewmember on your film. Keep them in the end credits.

Actually it was only the regular credits, actors and producers. The film was intended to be a scene study/takes from a feature, not really a short film, even though I and others refer to it as a short. The crew were credited at the end, not the beginning, but I get your point.

Whats the "munich look?" (have not seen the film yet)

Is it similar to the "War of the Worlds" look?

or saving private ryan?

Is bleach bypass what your after?

There is a scene file for that here in the forum.

I just so happen to have the Feb 2006 issue of American Cinematographer sitting on my desk. It featured Munich that month, and I just re-read the article.
As he does very often, Janusz Kaminski used Bleach Bypass and ENR processes on selected scenes in the film. This yields an effective latitude of only about 4 stops, which is very easy to emulate with CCDs. I created a bleach bypass scene file for the HD100 last year to emulate Kaminski's work on Saving Private Ryan. You can download it here or look at the recipe here.

Kaminski also talks about a yellowish-green look he used for some locations. You might want to try my "Warm-Green" setting for this look(originally designed to emulate the feel of "Amelie.")

Keep in mind that these scene files will only emulate the colour correction properties of a chemical process. Much more goes into the look of a scene, including shutter speed, lenses, filters, lighting, etc.
