B&W footage

With the very high luma resolution of HDV, I've been wondering what shooting a B&W film would look like. So far I've never found suitable subjects and finally forgot about it.

Michael Pappas has posted information and links on some B&W tests he ran at: http://homepage.mac.com/PappasArts

Michael sent me an email with the full info and links. It's posted at DVX User as well as CML. Here it is:

Subject: My first HD100 Footage to share!

I took the HD100 out for testing to get more familar on the way the HD100 reacts to light and its colorematary. For a lot of the shots it was full telephoto 16x. Not bad at all for the Fujinon, considering that it's worst case.. Contrary to what is said about the lens, it performs very good for the price...

There are a couple of XLH1 experimental color tests and night clips too in the XLH1 folder..

Anyways these are just basic no thrills tests done in Laguna Beach,CA and NewportBeach/Corona Del Mar,CA.

You will need the VLC player to view .m2t clips
