Sprinkler Sound off of on-camera mic
Had someone use my 200 series camera and he had the audio recorded at level 10...the audio was over-driven and had a intermittent "sprinkler" sound. Any ideas as to the cause? My thought was with the audio pegged out that could be culprit but just looking for anything else I might want to concern myself with. Thanks.

The "sprinkler" noise is likely digital overmodulation clipping, whereby a "normal" audio waveform becomes a square wave as it reaches 0dBfs, the maximum recordable level in digital.
