Worried about hardware upgrade on JVC GY-HD101E
Hi everyone,
I recently contacted JVC Greece about upgrading a 101E camera to the latest hardware/firmware. The JVC service said they have to attach a wire from a silicon board to another, and add an extra resistor, in addition to the firmware upgrade. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience, and if this procedure is normal, since it has me worried a bit. In the end all I want to do is to be able to capture uninterrupted clips from FCP :) |
That's normal.
This is why the (A) upgrades could not be done by the end user. Once you have this done future firmware updates can be downloaded and applied without JVC's assistance. |
Nick, It's a small modification.
After a day I could pick-up my camera again. It solved all the issues I had on the HD100 that time. |
