White Balance Preset basic question (new user)
Is there any way to quickly switch the HD110 from nominal Tungsten (3200k) to nominal Daylight (5600k)?
It seems that you can switch the value of the Preset by going into the menus but I was hoping there would be a way to do it with an external switch. Perhaps defining one of the user buttons to do it? I know I could go outside and white balance into the A or B memory but I'd like to have the choice between the two nominal values for quick switching. Any suggestions gratefully accepted! |
You're right... define a user button as the toggle. Do this in the switch menu.
Define one of the user buttons as PRESET TEMP. |
Tim,
Thanks. I'm not quite sure yet how to actually pull this off - can you set it so it toggles between the two values, or do you have to define two user buttons, one for each value? The manual isn't exactly the clearest thing I've ever seen. I might try to download the Japanese version and see if it's easier to make sense of some of the instructions. I frequently notice that when looking at presentations that have been translated to English it's easier to understand if the Japanese text is left on the chart. |
The same button can do Both
and trail and error will answer you quickly

OK - I'm game!
(This is the first experiment so I've been a bit hesitant to screw something up) But knowing that one button can toggle it is a big help in figuring it out - thanks. Edit - It worked. Thanks much. |
