Check the link here It doesn't record or upscale to 1080i, but it reduces wear on the GR-HD1/JY-DH10U heads. Troy |
Great work, Troy! I was wondering when one of these was gonna come out. Too bad it can't go to 1080i in recording BUT that's what DVHS is for. I think...

Damn good news Troy. I've been waiting for that.

Anyone know what the price is in US dollars? It says "$200,00"?
Also, what practical applications will this have? I'll be able to shoot with my HD10U and finally be able to plug the HD Player into anything I want? I've got an HDTV and every other piece of NTSC gear, so I should be able to do a lot. Does it convert the footage for us?? Yeah, right! |

That's 200,000 yen, which translates into 1,837.73 American Dollars (at the current exchange rate.) |
If that's the suggested price, look for the actual cost to be a bit lower, maybe down to $1200. That's what I paid for my former (non-LCD) mini-dv VTR from Sony.
