Nick nice equipment, but did you realize your two wall clocks are not in sync?

I noticed the same thing but since the minute hands are in sync I just assumed he is setup for multiple time zones?

I figured it's like me with my computer equipment, multiple monitors etc, and I have a steel office chair from the late 1970's.

Sean McHenry September 28th, 2005 12:01 PM

Hey Max, Nice CPU. I have the same thing. Dual built in graphics card is still working fine, although quite dated now, even under Xpress Pro HD 5.1.x.

Thanks guys. :)
Yup, through PixelCorps, I do a lot of work with folks all over the world. Even the last little "fun" project I did involved people from 9 states and 5 countries (we froze Rio).

As a group, deadlines, meetings, etc. are standardized on GMT (top clock). The lower clock is local time for me. :)
Thanks again.

Wow, it's been three years since you posted this. I'm new on the forum and am going through the different threads and felt like responding to this one.

I really like Digital Juice products myself. I've mostly used their Jump Backs and Royalty Free music, Stack Tracks are great.

Sean McHenry December 30th, 2005 10:27 AM

I used to work with Rick Green and the boys from Digital Juice years ago. He was working at WCMH-TV 4, an NBC OnO where I was an Engineer. He also works for a place here in Columbus, Ohio called The Power Plant, a post production facility.

I haven't talked to him in a while but he does good stuff and is a genuinly nice guy, as is the rest of his staff. He's really busy these days and hard to catch sometimes, but a nice guy.

Do you really think I am going to take a picture without cleaning up first? lol. I try to keep things in order. In fact, my idol was Lt. Castille (Edward James Olmos) from Miami Vice. A desk with just a telphone on it..... ah...one can dream.

Steven Davis July 3rd, 2006 08:10 AM

My dream would be having a desk where I CAN find the telephone. But seriously, that desk is nice and clean.

rey, what audio ref monitors are you using? im in the market to get a pair.

Rey Ortega July 25th, 2006 03:17 PM

I'm using the Maudio BX5's. They went on sale for $100 about a year ago. They may have been replaced with a current model by now. The original price was $300 before the sale. They're great for editing audio, sound effects and writing music for video.

This is my current setup...the usual multimonitor deal...

Twin 17" LG 1720P's on each side of my Macbook Pro...the left one as a second monitor on my mac, the right one hooked up to my PC, which I only use as a media center to stream video to my TV

FX1 and audio gear hiding in the right corner, with harddrives, DVD burners and gigabit switches hiding in the left corner, not pictured is my D200, which happened to be in my hands during this photo, lol!

Dean Digamon September 18th, 2006 08:20 PM

noah.. where did u get that ergo chair

thanks yi

Noah Hayes September 18th, 2006 09:29 PM

I actually got the Aeron for free...

My dad works for Knoll (one of Herman Miller's big competitors) and somehow he got a hold of it for free because of a slight defect (one of the wheels is bent a little) my tabletop is Knoll, as is the cable management system under the desk. It definately pays to know the right people. I unfortuantly couldnt get a hold of nicer table legs so I got the table legs from IKEA for $25... :)

You should be able to order the chair directly from hermanmiller.com
They have an MSRP of about $800 (for the model I have) but can get them as low as $550. I'd absolutely say their worth every penny, one of the best chairs I've ever used. (also happens to be in almost every "behind-the-scenes" special I've seen, as well as several commercials and movies)

Old thread I know but that was pretty cool checking out other peoples setup, I would like to see more. Keep posting.

Here is ours, Mac Pro dual boot XP running FCP / PPRO2, and Multibridge for HD monitoring.

Tommy Haupfear October 18th, 2006 09:13 PM

Daniel, that is some sweet setup you got there! I'm guessing you don't have any children. :)

Daniel Patton October 18th, 2006 10:11 PM

Thanks and yes, I have kids too.

That's my setup at the office, I could not afford something like that at home and considering it's where I spend most of my time anyway... I'm not sure I would want one at the house. ;)
