Rob is right its a Frezzi. Btw-sorry about all the noise in the pics, they where taken with my second GL2. I would have used my D100 or D70, but my friend is borrowing them to check the chips out. I will have all of my photography equipment on photobucket soon.

Hey Pat.
Thanks, we just installed it and are thrilled to death...one day we'll figure out everything that it is capable of doing!
Sorry it took so long to reply...yes, those are Juice Drops, the whole Jump Back collection and Editor's Tool Kit 1. The whole thing ran around $3,800. We just installed a 30" Phillips Flat Screen LCD TV as a program monitor where the SONY was previously. I'll try to post a pic within the next few days. The CDs are our music library from Associated Production Music, or APM. One of my favorite things is that I made sure that there wasn't ONE loose cable behind the edit station, unlike our old system where it looks like a bomb went off in a cable factory. Everything is in a cable trough and labeled! Pics to follow. Regards, RB. |
My setup:
My editing room (or here if above doesn't work) Just took a couple pics before I break it all down so I can reno the room... soundproof, paint, new carpet. Monitors: (from left) 17" NEC, 19" Sony Trinitron, 3 X 17" Viewsonic, 21" NEC, laptop. Computers: Three Pentium4s 1.9GHz-2.8GHz, Laptop Pentium M 1.4GHz Korg X5 keyboard, Topaz Mini 12 channel mixer Wacom tablet Sharp MiniDV camera as MiniDV Deck XL1s with MA100, Sennheiser Ew100 G2, 4"LCD, Century 0.6x WA Crapload of KVM switches and wires so I can assign different computers to different monitors. |
Sick setup Chris. I love all those monitors.
|
chris, kewl but, now, where do you jack into the matrix?
|
|
Damn it must get hot in there Chris.
|
I dont have a setup yet, but I would just like to say that some of you have wonderful editing areas. Great job!
|
I just rebuilt the edit suite but here's what it looked like a few months ago:
http://grinnerhester.com/digs.html |
Very nice Grinner! Are you going to put pictures of the rebuilt
suite up as well, what did you change? |
Awesome grinner, love the client room.
Come on Dvinfo.net members..post your setups !! |
"Grinner, Are you going to put pictures of the rebuilt
suite up as well, what did you change?" Yeah. As soon as I get around to it. I added a second beta deck, a dv deck, another vhs deck and a DVD recorder. I set it up so I can spit out a beta sp, 2 vhs, a dv and a DVD at the same time. It justified tearing it all down and starting over. |
Ill post pics of my setup as soon as my beautiful XL1 with 16x Manual lens comes in..id be embarrassed to show my ZR60
|
hello!
i have done some changes to my room/hardware and everything. i don't have a pic of my XL2 cause i don't have it yet! =). next year sometime... http://fongunlimited.com/htpc |
Nice setup. I am especially fond of the 20" dell.
Of course its always automatic kudos to have Fight Club memorabilia scattered around. ;) Nice setup. |
thx. i liked the 1600x1200 resolution so i can see everything in vegas without scrolling. i just wished dell had component inputs as well... since it's already so expensive.

Finally got new pix of the little Sony DSR-PDX10 camera and the temporary studio on a web page. Here are some quick pictures of my camera outfitted with all it's new toys as well as a quick peek at the temporary studio setup.

-->>> Sean, What sun-shade is that you are using? Carlos |
The shade is in the web page listed. With a link even. It's the Cinetactics soft collapsable Matteblox. The kit ran under $200 with a few filter holders and the 72mm adapter ring which us PDX10 users don't actually need.
The footwarmer is one of a mis-matched pair. This is the fuzzy Mutt variety but is VERY high strung. The other is much more sedate and for me, enjoyable. The other is a full bred Whippet. There is a camera under all that. In a way, it's a big help for people not to be able to see the camera as people tend to think it's like their uncle Joes $400 handycam. The PDX10 is no handycam! It helps to impress people. Sean |
Carlos,
Forgot to mention, that's the large French Flag on the matte box. It comes with a smaller one but they have a larger version too. Sean |

ok here is my system, it is NEVER this clean, i emptied the entire area to re-do some cabling...

New pics of our editing suite.
The new addition to the family is the Phillips 30" LCD screen we are using as a program monitor and my new, Dell XPS Gen3 I just installed at my desk for smaller projects.
http://www.rbravo.com/vsu_equipment.htm Scroll down to the "EDITING" portion of the page. RB |
Best editing setup ive ever seen on here..or anywhere...amazing man!
|
I just wish I did not see this . . everytime I see it . . Well! Green don't come close. The only, ONLY satisfaction I've got about this . .is that it aint HIS! He has it on loan! HAHa!
, , , everytime I see it evreytime . . . . |
A darker shade of green?
Sorry Graham, but when you figure in that not only do they pay for my toys but they ALSO pay me to play with them...well, you can figure out the rest!
On a serious note. We are truly blessed in our Unit. The Brass has always backed us with anything we need. In turn, we work our butts off to make sure that the whole department is taken care of. Not easy sometimes when we are a staff of 6 for a department of over 5,500! Regards to all, RB. |
Well Rick . .I must admit you did try! IT DIDN'T work! . .. and you get paid ... hah!
Grazie .. . well I just me a MAtte BOx - so there! |
|
Nice setup Rick, same as my home system....in my dreams that is.
|
|
I have a laptop, so I guess that gives you an idea of what my setup looks like. Sweet and simple and does the job. :)

Before: http://uk.geocities.com/ejjsproductions/Edit.html Now: http://www.ejjsproductions.co.uk/images/8.jpg http://www.ejjsproductions.co.uk/images/9.jpg http://www.ejjsproductions.co.uk/images/10.jpg Currently in the middle of building my new Edit room :) still need to buy decent surround sound speakers/ 5.1 sound card... Cheers, |
Nice setup. Love the tons of monitors, but the clutterness scares me.
I'm trying to re-arrange my setup now to be super open. I feel like my creativity is being stifled being in a cluttered work enviroment. How stupid is that? Nice, expensive looking setup though. |
Thanks Brandon!
There is a reason for the clutter. I don't s yet have any storage. So for the moment my desk is taking it. I don't mind it as much... At least I know where everything is. Cheers, |
Here's mine....
http://www.birthofthecool.com/images...ear/stuido.jpg I've recently added a sony 14" production monitor and moved in more of my rack gear, so I'll have to update the pic, but this should give you and idea. Matt |
You guys have wonderful set ups...heres mines very simple..
