What software
Hi
With Prem pro you can burn straight from the time line to DVD. But not 720p or 1080i. Do any one know what program can burn 720p and 1080i from the time line to DVD.....I only need to burn one or two minutes of footage to DVD....So I want to use normal 4.7GB DVD not HD DVD disks. Avid HD Pro cant do it either!....Any one got any ideas? Thanks Martin |
The latest version of Edius Pro, now at v3.61, and ProcoderExpress that is bundled with it, should be able to do so for you. See here:
http://www.canopus.com/products/EDIUSPro3/index.php Looking at my ProCoderExpress, it includes the option to create HDV 720 lines (HD1 mode) and HDV 1080 lines (HD2 mode). In HD1 mode it lists 720/24p /25p 30p. In HD2 mode it lists 1080/60i /50i /24p /25p /30p. PCE is available as a standalone version but I have no idea how well it would recognise your codecs if Edius is not installed - but it may be worth a try as it is not very expensive. In Edius you can burn from the tl. In another app and using the standalone version of PCE you will, probably, have to create the avi first so that PCE can get at it. PCE information should be available by exploring the Canopus site listed above. See here: http://www.canopus.com/products/ProC...ress/index.php |
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but....there is no such thing as a Video-DVD with HD 720p or 1080i footage on it. The Video-DVD specification is strictly SD, and DVD-authoring software is written accordingly.
Obviously, you can put 720p or 1080i footage onto a standard red-laser data DVD disk. To do that, export from Premier to a file on your hard disk in whatever format you require (avi, .ts, wm9, mp4, etc) and then burn that to DVD as a datafile. |
Yea, like Graham said, there is no such thing as going from 1080i or 720p to DVD unless it’s just a data file but nothing but a PC will play it. What is it you are trying to accomplish? How are you expecting to playback this DVD with HD media on it?
