Need a Camera Operator in downtown Seattle on Aug. 15th

Sunday, August 15th in downtown Seattle from about 6 to 10pm.

I need an extra set of hands to shoot b-roll on my HV20 on a tripod. Super simple gig. It's for my cousin's wedding - I'm going to be busy on Steadicam for the ceremony - so I just need a second set of hands (need to bring nothing but yourself) to shoot for the ceremony and first ~20 minutes of the reception. Dress would be simple pair of black slacks and a black t-shirt. I don't have tons of money to pay, but it will be enough to at least make it worth your while.

Only real requirement I have is that the operator is good with slow pans on a liquid head, and can frame simple shots well.

edit: As an afterthought - if you anyone has an xha1 or equivalent they could bring to the above gig, I could offer a bit more compensation.

Atlanta- Require Shooter, lighting & Sound

Hi,

My company recently finished a video for a new product. see: YouTube - OnGARD Security Door Brace: Stops Burglars In There Tracks!

I now require some affordable short clips for our upcoming website. Several 30 second clips, 3 minute instructional videos for additional products etc. Basically we are seeking a all around person who can shoot, light and handle sound. I own a new Panasonic AG-HMC40, tri-pods and basic lighting which the individual is more then welcome to utilize. However I have no boom mic etc.

If your schedule is flexible, your creative, experienced, and fun to work with.. then please drop me a line.

I am ready to get started.

Thanks so much

Jordan

Lighting Cameraman for FIlming on 2nd August, London

I am filming a series of interviews at an office located in central London on August 2nd. There are 4 interviews in total, between two or three people taking most of the day from 10 until 6. This is a very likely going to be an on-going requirement, with at least 2 further filming sessions over the next few months.

I could also benefit from some tutorial on this kind of shoot, more like guidance really. I have shot several before and have been pleased with the results, but I believe I could really do with learning a little more about filming in this field, specifically lighting. I would like to try and combine using a freelance, and learning from someone with more experience about lighting, sound, and technique.

If someone was willing to do this as a day of freelance work, that would be great. This would also be with a view of working on not just the series of interviews on future dates, but other similar work. Please let me know if you think you can help?

Thanks

Matthew

Shooter needed in St. Louis before Aug. 13

In need of a shooter in St. Louis. Looking for someone with HDV-level gear. So a camera something like a Sony Z1U, Panasonic HVX200, Sony EX-1, etc. Our in-house format is HDV, but we can read CF and SDHC cards, or can provide a portable hard drive to transfer footage to.

Shoot would be of some set up scenarios at an emergency air transport facility. No dramatic scenes, basically "staged" b-roll (if there's such a thing!). Could possibly need basic light kit, or reflectors. No production sound needed (camera mic for ambient is fine).

The shoot date has not been set yet, but will need to be in the next 2 weeks. We will set you up with the facility to arrange exact shoot times.

If you are interested, please respond with what camera you have, a brief statement of your experience (or a resume if you have it), and your day and 1/2 day rate (1-person crew). If you don't want that info posted here on DVINFO, then please email to:

rneidig (at) hsi.com

THANKS!!

Madagascar, anyone?

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good videographer in Madagascar (or who travels there) to shoot people/places/flora/fauna for a small museum project?

Or does anyone have good stock HD footage of same? There is plenty available in various libraries, but most seems to be old SD.

We have a budget, but not enough to send out our own dedicated crew.

Thanks.

Help! Need Exotic Beach Stock Footage.

Hey everyone

I still really need to get some exotic beach stock footage to greenscreen into the background for an amateur film I'm doing.

Does anyone out there live near an exotic beach, have a camcorder and tripod and would be willing to get some shots for me?

I have a little storyboard I drew with all the camera heights and angles and stuff on it.

Thanks in advance

Stuart

Stephen Henderson August 14th, 2010 03:05 PM

What do you mean by exotic?
I live near the Gulf of Mexico, padre island (here is a random image on flickr: South Padre Island Wedding 2 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!)

Stuart Graham August 15th, 2010 03:32 AM

Hi Stephen

Looks gorgeous! I'm not jealous or anything - my face is going green

I've just got in touch with Tito again and he's going to do it, today apparently! Very kind of him.

Thanks for getting in touch though Stephen

Looks like it's all sorted now

NYC: Anyone have a DSLR shoulder rig rental for Wed/Thurs?

Sorry for the short notice--curious if I could rent a shoulder rig for a gig I have in NYC this Wed/Thurs and possibly Friday. If anyone has any kind of shoulder mount--Cinevate, Redrock, Zacuto, etc--and is local, please let me know asap.

Alternatively, if you know of a good place to rent in nyc that has one, that would be good as well.

Thanks!

Phoenix - need Grip/PA starting Sunday 8-22-10

The producer and I will be arrivng Saturday night for a shoot Sunday-Tuesday. We need someone to work as grip/PA, someone with at least a small amount of experience. I'll be bringing most of the gear, but we'd like to rent some c-stands, flags, sandbags and bounce cards locally, to be picked up and returned by the grip/PA.

The work will mostly be interviews inside but there will be some b-roll, inside and exterior. Please reply to this thread and also johngodwin@mindspring.com.

Thanks,
John

Need an Assistant for a wedding on 9/4/2010 in Chicago

I need an assistant on 9/4/2010 in Chicago for a wedding. It's just an assistant helping me drag my bag and monitor the second cam. Therefore, I am not looking for professional videographer as I won't be able to afford him/her. It'll be only $8 an hour. Lunch and dinner will be provided.

I will be shooting with three DSLR (T2i) so my assistant will need to help me monitor the second cam especially on the 12 minutes mark. It would be quite challenging.

Ceremony will be in downtown Chicago. Reception will be in Elgin.

Or if you know someone in college needs to make a few bucks at weekend, please contact me at taky@lacolor.com.

Hawaiian Footage

Quote:

Tito Haggardt: well i live on Hawaii but there are not a lot of golden sand and palm tree beaches those are on the other islands. but i could probably do some thing for you.
Thanks for recording the footage for me Tito. It looks great! Good job!

It's a beautiful island you live on and some of the shots you recorded look like they're straight out of a holiday brochure :)

I have all the footage I needed now.

Thanks everyone who volunteered help.
