Canon XL1s shooter in Vancouver for hire

Hi,
I'm new on DV Info, but not new in the video field. I'm available for event video aquisition, and have experience in most styles and techniques. I have my own gear. My rates are reasonable, inter-personal skills accommodating, and attitude hospitable. Drop me a line and let my know your requirements. Cheers!

Storyboard Artist needed

Hello Everyone,

I'm a filmmaker in the Washington D.C area and I'm working on a short film to be shot this summer. I need an artist to create storyboard panels for me.

There will be about 15-20 drawings. Each one will be done in pencil. They don't need to be extremely detailed. This is a simple project. The person I choose will have their name in the credits of the film.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anthony Faust

Are you looking to get this done gratis?

Anthony Faust July 9th, 2004 02:36 PM

David,

I'd prefer to have this done gratis. To return the favor, I will include the storyboard artist in the credits of the film. Email me at anthonyfaust@hotmail.com for more details. I've put a mock up of the storyboards online.

Thanks,

Anthony

Anthony,
Try your local art school, or better yet, check out your local comic store. I know several profesional comic book artists who double up as storyboard artists. (No, they don't work for free.)

By the way, screen credit is usually a 'given', you might want to up the ante on your offer.

Hi, new to LA and looking for like minds (and some work).

Hello,

I recently relocated to Los Angeles and have been keeping my chin above water freelancing (mostly Post-Pro work).

I'm looking to meet like minds around town and possibly crew up to produce event, coroporate, documentary type work.

If you're a camera person, sound person, sales producer with gear and know how, maybe we can team up and make some extra cash. I have a 3-chip camera, but I dislike shooting. I'd rather be the guy in the dark room at 3am sitting behind a computer cutting.

***I am also open to helping any Post facilities out there that are busy and in need of a hand. I'm proficient in Media Composer and I own an Xpress box. My FCP skills are improving. My After Effects skills are good.***

I'm here if you're interested. Drop me a line.

Thanks,
Jason

Need de-interlacing or Magic Bullet

Hello
I have a 4 min video I want to give film look to. Seek someone in the NY/NJ/CT area who can de-interlace it or film look with Magic Bullet at an indie friendly (inexpensive) rate.

Friend de-interlaced a previous version with his Vegas Video system and it looked good, but he moved away. I've seen impressive film look done with Magic Bullet so that's an option also. An editor acquaintance tired film looking it via Cinelook and I did not like the results, and his system was unable to do de-interlacing.

It's on miniDV, was shot with Canon XL1. Thanks for any help. I live in lower westchester cty, 30 min from NYC, and north NJ and 20 min from south CT. Have car, can travel.

Wedding in Alaska - Video needed - 8-28-2004

Hello,
I'm getting married 8-28-2004.
Most of my DV cronies are in the wedding, so we need another camera jockey for the event.

I can't offer any money for the event, but I can offer some good fishing, a place to stay, and much needed food and drink.

I have a GL-1 and a XL1s (with accessories) that can be utilized so you would not need your own gear.

Need to be in Anchorage no later than Friday morning the 27th.
Wedding on the 28th, then it's open on when you need to be back to the airport etc.

The wedding will take place at my cabin (92 miles north of Anchorage) in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley (larger than Virginia). It will be an outdoor event.

Please contact me at ifish nospam@ak.net (remove nospam) if you are interested. We can talk on the phone after that.

This is a good excuse to come and see Alaska, and get in some good fishing/sight seeing/etc.
Rgds.,
Dan Holly
