Sorry it's so large

Very cool!
I think I want that dude as a pilot! Sweet, the camera handled motion very well.
Thanks for that! |

Sorry ur sick.. I've been sick for 3 days too. I'll put it on youtube this afternoon.
|
Nate, I wanted to share it with my brother who is a helicopter pilot for the marines so I had done a Flash encode to share privately with him. I can provide the link now if you like? Its a much higher quality then what youtube will give you.
|
Please, anything but YouTube.
Stage6 would be a big step up, even. |

Disregard the previous statement about youtube. Flash encoded video runs horribly on my laptop and only moderately better on my desktop, but every other format runs just fine, even full resolution HD runs better. Youtube to your hearts content as far as I'm concerned, Bill doesn't speak for all of us (most specifically me - no ofense Bill, i don't like youtube much either, but it functions correctly on every platform). We all realize that youtube encoding looks bad, but it works everywhere well.

I understand.
I finally got the direct download to work. My interest in this is I have an Uncle who likes rotorcraft enough that he taught himself to fly gyrocopters back in the 1950s. He subsequently designed and built his own gyrocopter and flew that for a couple+ decades. In any case, when I get a video like this, I turn it into a DVD for him to watch. So starting with high quality source is a very good thing. Question: Is that heli electric powered? I find it hard to see the usual 2-cycle motor gear in the final view where it has landed on the ground. And it says 'New Clean Technology" alongside the nose. |
cool vid. I watched the first two minutes (i am doing too many things at one time). Those bright flashes were a little much for my eyes...made me dizzy (after eating one quart of icecream, and no lunch...usually not a good idea: ( ...I believe the term at 1:50 was "where'd he go" : )
I haven't dug into my settings enough to offer any suggestions, but one thing you can do in the next vid is show a couple cuts of the radio being used. |
The footage I was able to see was pretty good, those things are hard to follow when zoomed in...and too small to shoot really wide.
