Why do I have to render a multiclip timeline?
I get a green render bar on my multiclip editing session in FCP.
Why is there a need to render footage that is already native to the timeline settings? |
Colors mean managing unrendered footage. Personally, I like no color bars on any footage. So I render a lot. Pays off when it comes time to export during normal working hours.
FCP manages unrendered footage rather well, but it really shines if you render everything when your take a break. In any case, do not export any way until you have rendered everything. I apologize for the lame explanation. Too fuzzed out after too many hours in front of the monitor. |
Scott-
Did you try "Collapse Multiclip"? Multiclips will need to be rendered unless you collapse them. To do this, right clip on the clip or clips, or use the Modify menu. |

You just saved me a ton of hard disk space as well as the time it would have taken to render my entire timeline! Thanks! |
