Apple Soundtrack Demo Songs licencing?
Hi - I would like to use some of the full demo songs / samples from Apple's Soundtrack in my film. What kind of licence is attached to them? (If any)
Thanks |
Ari,
just curious if you have found an answer to your question by now. When I first read it a few days ago, my first response was: "sure, all the Apple Loops are royalty-free". But since then I have been unable to find evidence that this is correct. I assume you are talking about the songs in the "Jingles" folder that ship with Soundtrack Pro? - Martin |
Hi Martin -
Same here, I assumed it, but have been cautioned not to "assume" anything ;) - the best I've found so far is a friend mentioned that "there's some info somewhere on the apple homepage about that" - but I have yet to find it. -Ari |
Here is the scoop
Apple Computer, Inc. - Soundtrack Pro Software License Agreement

You may broadcast and/or distribute your own soundtracks that were created using the Audio Content, however, individual audio files may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis, nor may they be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, sound files or music beds. http://www.apple.com/legal/sla/soundtrackpro.html |
