Capturing clips in FCP
Hey guys,
I had a weird problem, but maybe this is due to the standards, but I was wondering if there was a workaround for this. When I capture my clips in FCP in HDV, it's able to break up the clips perfectly fine in my bin, but when I down it to SD and capture, it captures as one huge file. Is there a way to get FCP to read the breaks on the tape? Thanks for the time guys. |
You can get FCP to detect the breaks in DV but not during capture just capture you footage and then select the clip in the browser and go to Mark-DV Start/Stop Detection it will then place a marker everytime the cam started and stopped you can then turn these into subclips and work with them like that, but they will all reference that one large master media file on your hard drive.
