Apply Filter to Multiclip Angle

How do you apply a filter all the clips in a sequence that use that same angle? When you drag a filter onto a clip in the sequence it gives you two choices: 1) Apply to Source Angle 2) Apply to Multiclip. Both do the same thing that is only apply it to clip you drag it to (even though you would expect Source Angle to apply to everything that uses that angle).

I've edited a multi camera performance and have hundreds of cuts and don't want to manually apply a color correction filter for to each time its used in the sequence.

I saw this subject discussed here but the solution seemed only for FCP7

Answered a question I didn't even know I had. Good to know.

That's a good way to do it. What I do is color correct the cameras first (on a temp timeline) and apply the filter to the camera clip before making the multi-clip. The corrections will not display while in multi-clip mode but once you collapse the multi-clip, the filters activate.

Good to know another way, I read about that method but it didn't seem to work and now I understand why.

It's strange fcp gives a two choices when it will only do it one way. I don't like the way filters work in FCP especially with multiclips.

Personally, I care about the cutting while in multi-clip not the color correction. Multi-clip pulls on the computer's resources so it makes sense that the real-time filters are temporarily de-activated while working in multi-clip.
