Got an email response from Steve Jobs re: Final Cut Studio update
I sent an email to Steve Jobs about when we'd see a 64-bit version of Final Cut Studio and surprisingly I got a response:
"Stay tuned and buckle up." I posted about it on my website: I got an email from Steve Jobs!!!! | EvanAgee.com and a screenshot of the email here My email from Steve Jobs! | Flickr - Photo Sharing! So hopefully we'll be getting a substantial update soon!! |
Nice!
Thanks for posting. It's about time we'll get some news about this... |

Thanks for the post!
I sent Steve my own message ... a thanks for being an inspiration to entrepreneurs ... -R |
I wonder who at apple is actually responsible for looking through 'sjobs@apple.com'. I doubt Steve jobs is going to be looking through the thousands of e-mails (not to mention spam) that arrives at that box.
As much as I'd like to find the response encouraging, in reality it means nothing. "Stay Tuned and Buckle Up" could mean absolutely anything, positive or negative. I'm bucked up, and tuned in, but I don't expect it any time soon. I seriously hope I am wrong because I really need native editing of AVCHD and DSLR footage that will save me 15 hours of transcoding at the end of an event. |

I held off from buying the most recent FCS update in the hopes that a "really substantial one" might come along by the end of 2010. However, the fact that his response completely omits any mention of time is quite telling (to me, at least) and makes me think that we might not see it until mid-2011 - at the earliest. As that last update does have a few features that I will soon need, perhaps I'll have to get that one after all. (Sigh) |
rumour in articles say next update may be as far away as next summer? see below
